Title: Activist
Prompt: Holly
Words: 100
Points: The Watch

That woman was back. As spokesperson for the Benignant Society she had expended hours condemning the conditions of their cells. While chairman of the Freedom Association she inundated the Watch with petitions to ban Cheery's 'unproven' for-en-sics. Currently, paper was being emphatically waved at the Commander while she dropped phrases like 'accountability' and 'due process' the way the lastest theatre starlet would drop pounds.

Nobby may not know many things but he did know what would happen to someone who ate holly berries. Gleefully he crushed three red fruits into the steaming teacup and carried the drink to their guest.

[NB: From Wikipedia "Holly berries are somewhat toxic and will cause vomiting and/or diarrhea when ingested by people, partly due to the ilicin content"]

Nobby knows things when it counts. *nod*

Yes he does :)

LOL that's great but will definitely cause problems if he gets caught.

Nobby's an old school watchman. I figure he'd have joined during Snapcase's tenure, when things like 'due process' just meant not pissing off the rich blokes. Rather than diplomacy he'd have a more direct way of handling problems.

Serves her jolly well right, though the berries may well have removed some of the blessed tannin from the pot!

Lovely tale. Thank you.

If she noticed anything strange about the tea she'd probably figure it was due to the inexpensive industrial grade mass-produced nature of the product.

And what the holly berries don't have, Nobby's fingerprints and general patina will make up for

Haha. Too true :)

LOL - leave it to Nobby to figure out a way to deal with the problem (and probably creating a bigger one in the process).

Thank you :)
